I built a FreeNAS box to test this out. I created a LUN with LUN # 1 and it failed. Changed it to 9 and it still failed. Changed it to 0 and it worked. The current Mac operating system is macOS, originally named 'Mac OS X' until 2012 and then 'OS X' until 2016. Developed between 1997 and 2001 after Apple's purchase of NeXT, Mac OS X brought an entirely new architecture based on NeXTSTEP, a Unix system, that eliminated many of the technical challenges that the classic Mac OS faced.
I have been trying to mount some LUNs to my Mac OS systems, but I have had some trouble. It seems Mac OS will only see a LUN 0 regardless if it is Fibre Channel or iSCSI. Is there a way around this?

Changed it to 0 and it worked. Changed it to 2 and it failed again, back to 0 it worked. This was with the KernSafe iSCSI initiator. I had the same results with an EMC array using Fibre Channel.
No other LUNs work, even after I mount LUN 0.
